Admissions Open: 1-Year Diploma in Cinematography & Film Direction

Chetana Media Institute, Thrissur, in collaboration with Cochin Yo Media Shoot School, is launching 1-Year Diploma Courses in Cinematography and Film Direction from June 2026, approved by the Media Entertainment Skill Council (MESC), a Government of India agency.

The MESC certification is recognised in over 70 countries, opening doors to careers in film, television, web series, and media industries abroad.

Classes are led by graduates of FTII (Pune) and Satyajit Ray Film Institute, along with working industry professionals. The curriculum is practical and skill-focused, covering:

• Common modules: Photography, Videography, Editing, Sound Design
• Specialisation modules: Screenplay, Direction, Production Design, Cinematography, Lighting
• 4 project film productions
• Industry internship

Preference is given to students under 30 who have completed Plus Two or a degree.

• Bank loans available for all enrolled students
• Fee concessions for girls from economically weaker sections and SC/ST students
• Merit scholarships for the top 3 ranks in the entrance exam

Admission is through a state-wide online entrance exam on May 30th.

Classes run Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, at Chetana Media Institute's Town Campus, Palace Road, Thrissur.
