  • Kicks off with the 3-months’ Common/Foundational Course Module and eventually delves deep into the rigorous disciplines of:
    • Screenplay writing, Shooting Script, Story Board & Production Planning
    • Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production: theory & practical
    • Filming Techniques: Master shot and scene, Montage and Mis-en-Scene
    • Analysis of Master Directors, film genres and styles
    • Student Film Projects: Continuity Film, Short Film, Documentary/News, Dialogue Sequence and Final Diploma Film (equipment and studio facilities provided by Chetana)
  • DIPLOMA IN FILM MAKING (DFM)

    Cinematography 1 Year (Full Time)

  • ‘Painting with Light’ is any cinematographer’s ultimate dream; for a beginner it is aiming high indeed, but surely attainable through systematic and professional training in the art and technique of capturing images, aided by light and colour
    • Visual Psychology
    • Creative techniques for effective imaging
    • Characteristics of Light
    • Lensing & Lighting (available and artificial)
    • Analysis of Master Cinematographers
    • Student Film Projects: Continuity Film, Short Film, Documentary/News, Dialogue Sequence and Final Diploma Film (equipment and studio facilities provided by Chetana)
  • DIPLOMA IN FILM & BROADCAST MEDIA

    (ONE yearFulltime)

  • The aesthetics and economics of film, television and video are getting increasingly entwined, but you rarely find a proper media training programme that explores the interface of film and broadcast media, also incorporating input from New Media. Our One year Full time DFB course fills in this lacunae with following modules:
    • Language of Cinema and Broadcast/Electronic and New Media
    • Broadcast Media: Formats and Genres
    • ENG (Electronic News Gathering) & EFP (Electronic Filed Production)
    • Field & Studio Production Techniques & Projects
    • Multiple Camera Studio Productions (there is no Specialization; every student learns all aspects of film and broadcast media and gets equipped to work in a variety of production set-ups)
  • CERTIFICATE IN FILM EDITING

    (2months Basic Course/3months Advanced)

    • This Part time Certificate Course, through theory and practical, introduces techniques of video and film editing. It ‘s learning by doing with 6-7 editing exercises/projects done on FCP and Avid. For the Advanced programme we provide FCP. 10 and Cinema Tool)
  • CERTIFICATE IN PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

    (2months, Weekend)

    • There are three possible options for this programme done ONLY on Saturdays (from 10am-4pm): the Basic Photography (8weeks), Basic Photography & Videography (combined: 8 weeks) and Advanced Professional Photography (includes Studio Floor shooting practicals and projects)
  • CERTIFICATE IN BASIC FILM MAKING

    (3months, Weekend)

    • This is a common programme (no specializations) offered ONLY on Saturdays (excluding Second Saturdays). The programme spread out in 12 Saturdays over a period of 3 months, incorporates basic theory, practical and practice in the disciplines of Photography, Videography, Editing and Film Production
  • BACHELORS DEGREE IN FILM & TELEVISION

    • (affiliated to University of Calicut, School of Distant Education; 3-year Degree programme and modules to be announced shortly)
